day off

ahh a day to chill and catch up on some loose ends. finished reading temples of sound this morning – awesome book about a bunch of legendary studios and the stories/people behind them.

been working a lot lately and really pleased with the challenges of the various projects i have been involved with. it’s satisfying to feel the quality of work improving – particularly the engineering side of things. capturing sounds better.
it’s been said that recording is a battle of inches – many small steps which contribute to the whole. so it;s hard to see
if things are improving because there are so many little things contributing to it …

seen a few movies lately – crash was really amazing. i am sure i am the last person to see it. go see it.

i have been listening to the new mojave 3 a lot – PUZZLES LIKE YOU - perfect summer soundtrack. and the wheel
of fortune continues to spin – soon the nation will be addicted. and i will conquer them all.
