WE ARE TERRIBLE AT RUNNING A LABEL. and by we i mean me. but luckily the bands are keeping busy playing gigs and recording etc.. Jonathan Inc and Maplewood Lane are playing at this years New Music West festival. IMR have been playing a bunch and are writing new songs! North Atlantic Explorers play their first show ever next week! or maybe it's this week. you need to visit their myspace pages - we all have them. we are all lame. resistance is futile. Dawntreader, Cran, Maplewood Lane and Jonathan Inc all have new recordings in the works. Hopefully they'll be some new releases later this year. North Atlantic Explorers continues to pop up on college charts and music websites recently cracking the top 100 albums played on canadian college radio (earshot)! WELCOME. back to school time. IMR played all across north america this summer and Maplewood Lane played NXNE in Toronto. Jonathan Inc. and Dawntreader have new recordings in the works and North Atlantic Explorer's debut cd "skylines" continues to get rave reviews across the net. Both NAE and MWL are charting across Canada right now on college radio charts. CRAN's cd "consider it pure joy" is now out! CRAN is the newest member of the anniedale camp. His record made it's way through many of us over the past 8 months quickly converting us and we are glad that he is graduated from high school now! It's somewhere in between glichty laptop pop and indie rock a la microphones... you'll have to hear it. ------------------------------------------------- may 23rdnews: Welcome to the newly revamped ANNIEDALE RECORDS website. Things are picking up with a string on new releases over the spring and summer. We have also seen the family expanding with the addition of IN MEDIAS RES and NORTH ATLANTIC EXPLORERS (although they were family already. This week will see the re-release of IN MEDIAS RES' classic debut "of what was". It's been all re-mixed and re-mastered and includes a new recording of an old favorite "best kept secret". The band has just kicked off it's biggest tour to date which will include a date this coming tuesday at the Pacific Coliseum as part of the Vancouver FireFighters Burn Fund Benefit. Maplewood Lane have just released their new EP "The Golden Skies" which is starting to see some reviews as they prepare to head out to Toronto in a week for this year's NXNE festival. July will see the release of NORTH ATLANTIC EXPLORER's "Skylines" album which is sure to find fans with it's spacy atmospherics and lush orchestration. Jonathan Inc. are laying low over the summer to work on their next record as are Dawntreader who have a whole slew of new material ready to commit to tape, err, hardrive. That's it for now.
